ZHAO LIN
Composer
Zhao Lin studied composition at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, and went on to compose for the National Traditional Orchestra of China. In 2004 he began to collaborate with Yo-Yo Ma, and has composed several pieces for Silkroad, including the double concerto Duo for Yo-Yo Ma and Wu Tong, which had its world premiere in Shanghai in 2013. Zhao Lin has also composed for filmmakers, including Zhang Yimou (A Woman, a Gun and a Noodle Shop, 2009), Chen Kaige (Together, 2002) and Ding Hei (The Great Qin Dynasty 2, 2013).
